Hyun-ji is a junior majoring in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Microbiology and minoring in Music. She attended University of Florida for her first year of college then transferred to Cornell. She grew up in Korea, the Philippines, and Lake Mary, Florida. Her interests and activities include reading, piano, films, photography, and traveling.

At Cornell, she is involved with S.A.F.E (Sexual Awareness for Everyone) and her research lab. During summer and winter breaks, she spends her time volunteering at hospitals and nursing homes back in Florida. She looks forward to being a Student Assistant and getting to know the Hans Bethe residents for the upcoming year.

Stephen Guilbert Stephen Guilbert
Film and Anthropology

Stephen is a junior double majoring in Film and Anthropology in The College of Arts and Sciences.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Stephen attended Rutgers University for a year and then transferred to Cornell and into Hans Bethe House! He enjoys many sorts of exercise and physical activities, playing the piano, reading, music, and is an avid fan of the professional baseball team The New York Mets.

Stephen looks forward to participating in ABC, a Cornell organization that brings art and community to the Lansing Residential Center, The Boxing Club, and the Campus Crusades. Especially, though, he looks forward to meeting the Hans Bethe residents and participating in house programs and events as a Student Assistant.

TP Wong Tian Ping "TP" Wong
Economics and Computer Science

A double major in Economics and Computer Science, he is nothing if not practical. He is interested in the world and how it wags. He has lived on three continents and speaks four languages (five if you count dialects), only two of which are actually useful.

His rotating list of interests span reading, rock climbing, kayaking, ethnic food, travel, Settlers of Catan, graphic design, and photography. At Cornell, he helps maintain the Bethe website, has participated in CU Emerge, Leadershape, and Prepare, and been part of the Cornell Daily Sun and AIESEC Cornell. He spent one summer at a major consulting firm and one as a research assistant.

If you have a problem with your computer, the good news is he can probably help. The bad news is he's likely to format it and reinstall everything. Having worked as supervisor at the CIT for the past couple of years, he knows the torturous tortuous road that is troubleshooting. While he's formatting your computer you should check out chequerd.com, the innovative semester scheduling website he developed.

His biography appears long but is cunningly light on detail, because he'd rather fill in the blanks in person. One of his personal goals as an SA is to get to know as many Bethe people as he can, so feel free to strike up a conversation if you see him around. If he doesn't see you first, that is.
