A. Within Cornell
Hans Bethe House is located on West Avenue at the base of Libe Slope. Looking down the slope, it is to the extreme left (south), next to the Noyes Community Recreation Center.

On-street parking is available at the north end of West Avenue. After parking, walk south to flag pole, turn right through arch and down steps. Hans Bethe House is to your left. Follow signs. 

Alternatively, off-street parking is available in a parking lot on Mary Ann Wood Drive, which is off Campus Road between the Noyes Community Recreation Center and Stewart Avenue. Walk north to the end of the parking area and up a rather steep flight of steps that flank one of the Keeton House buildings. The top of the steps face Hans Bethe House. Turn left around the island of trees and plants and enter Bethe to right under passageway. 

B. Directions from Buffalo/Rochester (off New York Thruway)
89S to Ithaca
Up the hill on Buffalo Street (going east)
Left on Stewart Avenue at flashing yellow Cross bridge over Cascadilla Gorge
Right at fork on to Campus Road (towards Cornell)
First left on Mary Wood Drive
Park anywhere in parking lot.
Walk up flight of steps at north end of parking lot (the end away from the road).
Hans Bethe House will be to your right. 

C. Directions from New York City
79E to Ithaca (79E becomes State Street in town)
Right on Stewart Avenue
Cross bridge over Cascadilla Gorge
Right at fork on to Campus Road (towards Cornell)
First left on Mary Wood Drive
Park anywhere in parking lot.
Walk up flight of steps at north end of parking lot (the end away from the road).
Hans Bethe House will be to your right. 

D. Directions from Syracuse
81S to 281S (exit 12) 281S to 13S
13S to Ithaca (Meadow Street in town)
Left on Buffalo Street (going east, up hill)
Left on Stewart Avenue at flashing yellow
Cross bridge over Cascadilla Gorge
Right at fork on to Campus Road (towards Cornell)
First left on Mary Wood Drive
Park anywhere in parking lot.
Walk up flight of steps at north end of parking lot (the end away from the road).
Hans Bethe House will be to your right.
