Associate Director of Student Programs in Alumni Affairs & Development

Jamie Hom (she/hers) works in Alumni Affairs & Development as an Associate Director of Student Programs on the Student and Young Alumni team. Her interest focuses on leadership development, well-being, and positive psychology for young adults in the higher education setting. As a practitioner, she comes with a variety of experiences in Student & Campus Life, where she worked in orientation for new students, residential life overseeing a first-year and a multicultural living learning community, the Asian & Asian American Center, and Campus Activities at Cornell University. Jamie also is an instructor of PE spin classes and spin Group Fitness classes for Cornell Rec.

For fun, Jamie is a certified CliftonStrengths coach since 2017 and MBTI Certified Practitioner since 2019 and has done one-off coaching sessions and group workshops. Outside of work, you can find her on hiking adventures with her dog, Clara and checking off visiting all 63 United States national parks. Jamie also volunteers at Farm Sanctuary and Cayuga Nature Center taking care of all the animal ambassadors at these two organizations.

Jamie is from Pawling, NY. She completed her M.A. in Human Development at Cornell and her M.A. in Student Affairs Administration at Ball State University in Muncie, IN and her B.A. in Anthropology and Culture & Communications (minor in women studies) at Ithaca College.
