House Fellow
Founder and Owner of Via's Cookies

Via is overjoyed to serve as a House Fellow for Hans Bethe House and contribute to the meaningful work that unfolds within its spaces. Via started her business with the mission of helping struggling minority communities earn a college degree, and has been donating funds to students in the NYS area and beyond for about 3 years. Through pursuing this mission, she has been brought into places like the Hans Bethe House, The Tompkins History Center, Ithaca College, the American Accounting Association's Annual Diversity meeting, Rev:Ithaca Startup Works, and more to speak on her experiences and inspire audiences into creating good change. Via has acted as a mentor for students all the way from Grade School to Undergrad, and taught an entrepreneurship program at New Roots Charter School with a focus on helping underserved students find a passion in making and selling their own products.

As a student, Via earned her BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and a minor in Entrepreneurship. She also was a valuable member of the Martin Luther King Jr. Scholar Program at Ithaca College, diving deep into the history of African Americans and the teachings of non-violent resistance. Other than baking, speaking, and fighting for equality, Via enjoys: painting murals all over town that embody themes of power, Black joy, and the natural world. She also loves lifting weights, singing, pole dancing for sport, longboarding, mountain climbing, and watching Anime. Via was born and raised in Ohio and will forever joke about how great it is not to be there anymore. However, there is this one ramen spot in Upper Arlington that occasionally calls out to Via in her dreams- she's still never found ramen that good.
